The off-season seems to be treating Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas well as he’s sporting a brand-new look. And with it, he is almost unrecognizable.
In his recent social media post, he included a video of himself getting a complete makeover after feeling like he doesn’t “fit in” while in Melbourne, Australia. He then sits in a barbershop chair, gets his hair cut and his beard trimmed, and voila!
He wears his new look with confidence. A classic mullet-and-mustache pairing.
To top it all off, he walks out of the makeover chair holding a bottle of Victoria Bitter and wearing a Victoria Bitter sleeveless shirt. A VB for VB, if you will.
As he walks out of the barbershop, he looks ready to spend his off-season fully relaxed. He kicks off his flip flops (or thongs, as the Aussies say), and sits back on a bench next to his partner, Tiffany Cromwell.
Me-time
After the 2022 Formula 1 season came to an end, all the drivers went on their way to spend the holidays relaxing, recovering, and getting ready for the coming year. And for Valtteri Bottas, that meant kicking back into some of his hobbies.
Based on his Instagram posts, Bottas has been skiing, playing hockey, and biking around Australia with his partner Tiffany Cromwell.
In case you didn’t know, Cromwell is a professional cyclist from Australia. And recently, the pair have been spending a lot of time together in Melbourne. There, they have been biking and going around the city.
With the time that Bottas has been spending Down Under, it seems he has now fully embraced his surroundings. As some have said, he is “embracing his inner bogan.” And he is proud of it, even captioning his recent Instagram post saying “Party at the back.”
Whether or not this is just some phase he is going through for the time being, or if this is the look we’ll be seeing on the grid in 2023, we are here for it.
