Tunnel Vision: The top 5 looks from NCAA week two

The second week of the NCAA basketball tournament has just closed, and the results for the best looks are in. These are The GAME’s top five outfits from the tunnel last week.

5. Pop of Red

Whether Yukien Andrada chose red to represent San Beda or if he just really likes the color, this look definitely turned our heads.

In true Filipino spirit, his plaid red pants are giving holiday energy as early as September—as it should. Plus, the red accent of his Adidas Ultraboosts is the perfect touch to tie everything together.

4. Head to Toe

While Andrada went with a pop of color, Gyle Montaño showed up to the second week of the NCAA in a black-and-white look from head to toe. Literally.

From the Airpods in his ears, his B&W printed tee, the backpack, his black shorts, and all the way to his Panda Dunks (even including his leg tattoo), the Lyceum player is head-to-toe black-and-white.

3. Function or Fit?

James Canlas’ answer? All of it.

The San Beda player showed up for his NCAA match last week looking both stylish and comfortable—not always an easy look to achieve. The hoodie is simple, with pockets as a stylish accent. His printed shorts look comfortable too. And of course, we can’t go without mentioning the Yeezy slides.

2. Boys Don’t Cry

One of the best things about seeing how NCAA players dress before their games are getting insight into their personalities. And here, Peter Alfaro offers us a little bit about himself.

Our favorite part about this look is the Frank Ocean ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ tee. It has us wondering if the San Beda player is a fan and if he perhaps listens to his music before games. But apart from that, we also love the colorful print of the tee that matches the colorful energy of his Nike sneakers.

1. Subtle Color Coordination

Whether Patrick Ramos knew what he was pulling off or not, he showed up to week two of the NCAA with a subtly coordinated outfit.

Here’s what we mean. The print on his black tee has a predominantly light-orange color. This matches the color of his black-and-orange Nike Jordans. And his bright printed shorts also have both shades of orange with black outlines, plus adding in a few other colors as accents.

Ramos is our favorite for the week. Though the look seems simply put together, it’s enough to make you look twice. But, you may need a third to figure out why it works.
