Tunnel Vision: Our favorite outfits from week 1 of NCAA basketball

For those of you who may not know, The GAME has a more literal take on the meaning of ’Tunnel Vision’. This is our coverage of your favorite athletes’ pre-game outfits straight from the tunnels of the arenas where they play at.

Now, with the current NCAA basketball tournament in full swing, these are our favorite looks from the first week.

Kevin Kyle Santos
NCAA Basketball player Kevin Kyle Santos

NCAA basketball player from Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Kevin Kyle Santos, showed up to his first match reppin’ Jordan. We love the patchwork-style of the print on this tee.

McLaude Guadaña
NCAA Basketball player McLaude Guadana

Another player who came through the tunnel reppin’ a star was Lyceum player McLaude Guadaña. Every time we see a ’Mamba Forever’ shirt, we have to admit, we get a little bit emo.

Justin Ollesca
NCAA Basketball player Justin Ollesca

The Mamba Mentality must be a trend among the Lyceum squad, as Justin Ollesca also walked into the game wearing a Kobe-tribute shirt. But actually, what caught our eye here were the red accents of his outfit.

He’s got red shorts. His phone case is red. And the Swoosh on his Nikes is also red.

Ry Dela Rosa
Jose Rizal University player Ry Dela Rosa

Jose Rizal University player Ry Dela Rosa came into the tunnel prepared to fight. And he wore the perfect shirt to match his mood—a graphic tee with an iconic shot of Muhammad Ali looking over Sonny Liston.

Bonus points for the Nike Dunk Low Pandas.

Lorenzo Navarro
Lyceum player Lorenzo Navarro

His outfit may look simple at first glance, but Lyceum player Lorenzo Navarro’s look goes beyond what he’s wearing. What we’re loving here is how he’s got a pair of Jordans on, but he’s also got another pair of shoes ready to go.

Plus, he’s got those Airpods in. Navarro showed up ready to get in the zone.

Lyra Micolob

Of course, it’s not only players who walk through the tunnel. We can’t forget about the lovely NCAA performers. Lyra Micolob came in like it was nobody’s business, and arguably, the best dressed of the week.

She made walking through the tunnel more like walking on the carpet. And we are here for it.

The best news is that the season’s just getting. Stay tuned to The GAME for more coverage on the NCAA, all your favorite players, and of course, their game-day fits.
