ECHO Sweeps Fellow Filipino Team Blacklist to Win M4 World Championship

In an all-Filipino final at the M4 World Championship, ECHO emerged victorious over defending champions Blacklist International.

The Filipinos put out a dominant effort at the M4 World Championships, with two squads from the Philippines making it to the tournament finals: Blacklist International and ECHO.

The last time the two squads faced each other, Blacklist International defeated ECHO to win the Season 10 title of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines last year.

Now, on the world stage, ECHO won themselves a chance for redemption.

In the final of the M4 World Championships, ECHO swept the defending champions to win 4-0. With their dominant win, the team was able to ease into the world title and earn the $300,000 cash prize (equivalent to about PHP 16.5 million).

β€œWe’re elated to win the championship, but beating Blacklist International makes it even better,” Finals MVP Bennyqt expressed after their victory.

In addition, the win also marks KarlTzy’s second Mobile Legends: Bang Bang title, as he previously won the M2 World Championship with Bren Esports.

Meanwhile, although Blacklist International failed to secure a historic back-to-back championship win, they still walk away as runners-up with $120,000 (equivalent to about PHP 6.6 million).
